Treatment of upper facial wrinkles with botulinum toxin

Botulinum toxin is a substance blocking the transmission of nerve signals to muscles. It prevents the contractions of the muscle, and therefore the wrinkle to form. The effect of botulinum toxin is considered to be reversible after 4 to 6 months.

Because of its reversible nature, any side effects of the treatment are temporary and disappear quickly. No prior allergy test is required. The results can be seen within 72 hours and peak 10 to 15 days later. In most cases, 2 injections per year are necessary. Theoretically, after several years of treatment, the anti-aging effects on wrinkles last longer.

Wrinkle treatment by filling
